He has seen the business from all sides as he has worked with Vendors, Network Operators, and Service Providers, with Customer Service, Sales and P&L Business Owner.
Over 30 years ago, after his Electrical Engineering from Bombay University he started his career as a Service Engineer with Xerox Corp. during his journey, he has worked and learnt from very respectable Brands Such as Xerox Corp., HCL Limited, GTL Limited, British Telecom, AT&T, Bharti Airtel and is now Aircel (the Maxis owned Telco in India).
Chandan is a Pioneer. To his credit, he was the 1st individual to start the International Wholesale & Carrier Business in India at Bharti Airtel Limited in Early 2002 after Government of India broke the Monopoly of VSNL by liberalizing International Long Distance Telecom in India.
He has nurtured two very large Wholesale Businesses in India from inception (Bharti Airtel & now Aircel).
Beyond working for Aircel, Chandan also is a renowned Personality in the International Telecom Arena and regularly invited to International Telecom Events on speaking engagements. Chandan is respected in this industry, as he has contributed several Business Leaders who have trained and groomed under him in International Wholesale Telecom, who work in senior positions in Telcos around the world.
He also holds prestigious positions in several International Telecom Bodies in Advisory Roles, Influencing the trend of International Telecommunications. His expertise & involvement in the Global Wholesale Arena keeps him busy. He aspires to start a Telecom Academy and establish an Alumnus to strengthen this industry.
He grew up in Mumbai & now he lives in Gurgaon with Somali (his wife). His son Pranab is following his footsteps in International Telecommunication Business working in Delhi. Chandan is a HOG Member, loves riding his Harley, fond of travelling, Photography & Reading.
