He is very much a widely-regarded industry veteran.
Diarmid has been instrumental in the commercial strategies and successful growth performances of Cable&Wireless Worldwide as well as the previous organisations he's worked for. Prior to joining Cable&Wireless Worldwide in May 2008, Diarmid was Asia CEO for Vanco, a Global Virtual Network Operator providing solutions to global MNCs. Before that, as an early employee of ITXC in 1998, Diarmid was largely responsible for taking ITXC onto the Nasdaq. He grew their Asia/Pacific operations, built and expanded their relationships with major telecommunications service providers, making them one of the world’s largest international VoIP carriers, before they were subsequently acquired by Teleglobe in 2004.
