As Chief Technology Officer (Asia Pacific), Karl Horne is responsible for architecture and technology strategies for Ciena in the Asia Pacific region, which spans Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam. In this capacity, Mr. Horne works with customers, technologists, industry analysts, and key partners to craft Ciena’s Converged Optical and Packet solutions.
Mr Horne has over 22 years experience in the telecom and datacom industries. Aside from his current position, he has served in several capacities within Ciena, including R&D, CTO, and Portfolio Strategy roles. Prior to Ciena, Mr. Horne held engineering leadership positions with Scientific Atlanta and AT&T Tridom.
