Sten Nordell drives Transmode's strategic technology roadmap to deliver the next generation of optical IP/Ethernet systems. As one of the few people in the industry to have senior-level experience in building networks from the operator's perspective and in designing systems as a vendor to meet operator needs, Sten is highly regarded by his peers for his regular presentations at numerous conferences and shows world-wide. Prior to joining Transmode, Sten was Chief Convergence Officer and also VP Networks & Platform Strategy at mobile operator Telenor Group, and served as CTO of both Utfors AB (the first carrier in the world to deploy IP/MPLS directly over WDM) and Bay Networks' Internet and Telecom Division in EMEA. Sten also has experience as a Director of Business and Technology Strategy EMEA for Nortel.
